IS there a place online that has available blue prints and specs for the 1911? Much like the info section on AR15.com has the drawings for the AR free for the downloading.

www.homegunsmith.com has several blueprints in their library section, but that area is only available to subscribers.

Kuhnhausen volume II also has a good set of line drawings scattered thourghout the book.
They are not a complete set, but there are many important dimensions needed for fitting.

Thanks for the links, though none of them are quite what I'm looking for. Maybe it is that what I want doesn't actually exist...

I'd like to find some nice clear machinst type blueprints to build from. The ones of the AR15 in the downloads section of afrcom are perfect, if only they were fot the 1911!

Sadly, the link to the CAD drawings on biggerhammer is broken.
