My brother got on a list at ACE Firearms south of pittsburgh and it came in 2 weeks.
Just go to a shop that does some volume, ask how long their list is. The LGS told my brother they just got caught up so he was fist on the list, and it only took 2 weeks for them to come in a guess. |

I am not affilliated with them in away what-so-ever. My dad is on a waiting list at 3 shops in Bend OR, impatiently waiting. Go get on waiting lists all over town. |

All they have is the 40 Shield in stock, and they wont give out the price over the phone. They transfer you to the internal sales department and then it goes to voicema  il.

Hmm maybe I should stop by in person at some of my LGS instead of just calling and getting on waiting lists...I did reserve a shield for $436 with a cc as soon as it comes in. But they didn't say how many were in front of me. Just that I would get a call and that would be the price when its available.

A few weeks ago I was on the S&W forum.
They were saying that S&W is running their Shield line 24/7 and were 40,000 units behind at that time. (don't remember the source on this) I guess they didn't want to start another line for production - maybe something to do with the ban crap? I suppose the other lines are running hi-cap stuff right now. I know I would. |

You have to go there. Not sure it's worth a 3-hour drive/gas over it. I still owe the "house" for my last two "presents" anyway
I think our new addition from the industry - S&W - should set a run aside and have a special sale for us ARF'ers

It's a beautiful drive and the wife unit now has a shield. Heads up though, the place is huge and they have inventory so it's a mad house. |

I ordered a 9mm a month ago at Target World in Chalfont and picked it up today. The had told me at 3-6 months. $419 less a 5% discount for being in the NRA |
