Anybody carry this way? I am about to pick up a new P2000SK this week and was wondering if I could comfortably carry it that way. I also wondered if the Comp Tac's Infidel holster would be appropriate for this purpose.
Or should I go with something else? |

I have carried that way before, just to try it. It works especially well with a short-barreled and short-butted pistol, such as the one you describe.
I'm thinkin' the Infidel has somewhat of a forward rake, does it not? You want something that's straight-drop or very slightly rearward raked for this kind of carry. There are several IWB type holsters that work for this, such as the Bianchi 100 Professional, or the Blade-Tech IWB with loops, as the loops can be made to be in a straight-drop configuration. To do it OWB, a Don Hume JIT Slide would do the trick. |

I've been appendix carrying for several years and it works well for me. I carry a Glock 19 in a Raven Concealment ACR (Appendix Carry Rig) holster. The most important thing with appendix carry is to get a holster designed specially for this carry method. I've used customized Comp-Tac holsters for appendix carry and I know Comp-Tac now has the 2 o'clock appendix holster but, IMHO, the Raven ACR is the best Kydex appendix holster out at this time. The link below goes to a thread where I posted a short review on the updated version of the Raven Concealment ACR. There's lots of pics too. http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=29765 |

| Your 2000SK will be perfect for AIWB. I currently carry a G23 and S&W M&P 340 AIWB. For the G23, I carry in aeither a FIST #1 kydex holster or a High Noon Mr. Softy. Both are straight drop/ no cant clip on holsters that carry (for me) in the perfect spot to be comfortable. I did buy a Comp-Tac 2 O'Clock and it carried way too high and printed real bad. They took it back no questions asked. I would email Raven. Their Raven Concealment ACR holsters are top notch and made specifically for AIWB carry. It's possible they could still make one for your SK. |

does anyone carry AIWB at the 11 o'clock for a cross-draw setup? not unless you're standing the whole time you're carrying...if you go to sit down, the butt of the pistol is going to jab you right in the gut. on the strong side, it allows for the butt to ride over your leg. |

I carry a M&P 9 in a CCC Looper. I'm a small guy, 5'5", 160, and it is pretty damn comfortable except when I have a belly full of steak, scallops, and Bud Light :D I have no frame of reference as I just started carrying a month ago but I find it quite comfortable.

I am not sure where in OH you are but I know they come in Indianapolis 1500 gun show and do custom holsters while you wait...3hrs or so. I have had them make several custom holsters for me. About one every show. |
