I've never heard of a 38 Special Colt 1911 type gun. I know nothing of 1911 or Colt guns anyway. Gun values Blue Book is not much help. I'll try to get a partial serial # in a bit.
$1500 MINIMUM if in good shape with one mag. Add $100-$150 for each additional Colt mag.
I snagged 2 extra in excellent [had 2] for $50 each and walked out of the show feeling like a GOAT.
Reload, but it's easy and the brass lasts forever and ever amen due to the low pressure. [2.8-3.2 grains of bullseye is norm.] I've loaded plastic cases with a primer and rubber bullets [all the way in the case full wadcutters] and popped them in it inside, you just need to hand cycle the slide.

Dad had a Colt and a S&W 52 38 wadcutter gun. At some point he sold the Colt but I still have the Smith.
Both the Colt and Smith are very fun to shoot but you almost have reload due to the wadcutter needing to be flush with the case mouth.

I have a Smith 52 as well. Love it!
I get my wadcutters from GA Arms at a reasonable price.

That appears to be a factory colt. Many were made by Clark .
Could be worth $$$ to a colt collector, the Clark guns show up for 750-1200.

Had a friend, who died about ten years ago, that had one of these pistols. Probably 30-40 years ago, he toured Europe with a group, putting on bulls-eye demonstrations. Apparently, the 5-round magazine was a plus to comply with local firearm regulations.
