i would have posted a poll option but not sure how... 1) working full time? 2) layed off ( seasonal ) 3) unemployed due to outsourcing / fired / or just dont have a job i run my own small tree removal service and work for my brother, but its very seasonal here in Minnesota. so in the winter i usually work for a warehouse. Due to the warehouse being so slow this winter, lack of work in the tree biz cause its Feburary, im sitting here wondering when ill be able to buy groceries and trying not to drive anywhere unnessicary to save fuel. ive pretty much quit drinking at the bars since new years. ive become a penny pincher. im losing my mind though, the stress of not knowing when money will be coming in again, and sitting around not doing anything is driving me crazy. i want a Springfield M1A sooo bad but cant buy that obviously.... anyone care to make donations??

I hear you builttoughf250 I have worked various construction jobs in Mn over the years and can relate. The gig I have now is giving me winter work but at reduced hours. I'll let you know if I come across something suitable for a "tree monkey"  Are you around the twin cities? GM |

Post this same poll on DU, the results would be the exact opposite (most guys here seem to be gainfully employed). goodmedicine- i live in inver grove heights and do most of my work around there. my brother also lives in coon rapids so i do tree removal with him around that area also. ive got the north and souh metro covered. and sorry, i forgot the military and self employed positions. ran out of poll options. i guess, just post "pimp" for self employed  i should be back to work in 2 weeks hopefully, thats about when things get going again. i just hate it that the reliable "winter" job ive had for 3 winters now, wasnt so reliable this year placing higher stress on me and less money on my bank account. |
