Unfortunately pretty damn common, depends on the unit and such. I've passed IA who were sleeping under there track while on mission. On another mission I saw the IA getting a car wash for there truck while on the objective.
They are overall improving, but there is always a few (or many) special ones |

We drove past sleeping checkpoint guards all the time. I have no idea how a convoy of MTVRs and Cougars could sneak up on you, but I've scared the shit out of some sleepers with the PA speaker, and I was the third vehicle. Vics 1 and 2 didn't even wake them up. I had a lot of fun with that PA system  |

| Look at it this way - Every other phase they use that term, Inshalla. And they really believe that at any minute Allah can come in and exercise his will at a whim and ALL things are decided by him. If that's the case and one truly believes it, what reason is there to strive or defend? For it will, inshallah, succeed, or it will, inshallah, fail, period - nothing you can do about it. Muslims who can escape this culture and lose their religion often jettison inshallah-fatalism and generally keep their real views largely to themselves around fellow Muslims. |
