would you prefer the collapsable stock or the pdw type folder?

The one that's an AR-15.

After using both, they both suck.  However, in my opinion, the folder sucks a little less as you can at least get some sort of cheekweld when it's extended.

Solid stock is not an option?

Not a fan of folding/collapsible stocks on subguns. Just a personal preference.

If I carried it riding in a vehicle, for extended periods, I might see it differently.

Choate improved PDW stock on K.

The only MP5 I have shot had a fixed stock.

I've carried and shot the collapsible stock, and I've seen the folding stock.  What the fuck is a penquin flipper??!

ETA - I've had a drink or two and can't figure out for the life of me how to spell penquin, or even get it close enough that spellcheck can save me.  I don't really care, but it is frustrating.  I was the 4th grade spelling bee champ.

The B & T is a nice side folder and it is as comfortable as a full stock.

Having owned and used the A3, and A2 stocks, this is the correct choice.

A3 worked just fine for me for years.

I have the solid stock, a factory collapsible and I just got a Choate. I hate the factory A3 (too long and uncomfortable cheek weld) and the solid stock is ok but the butt is pretty slick on armor while still being a touch long. My initial impression of the Choate folder (adjustable with spacers model) is that it's much better. Solid feel, decent cheek weld, rubber butt plate and good length (I have all the spacers out so it's about 12.5" LOP I think). Just about perfect, especially for an average size guy in armor.
