Old news friend.  Get out and stimulate the economy more often and you'd be up on these things!

You mean to tell me that they don't have a buffalo on them any more?  When did that happen?

You might find some useful information at
www.treasury.gov
and

I typed both in and they seem to bring something up.   <shrug>

I have a few in my change jug, stamped in Philly in '04. I can't make out the print, but it says something under the left hand/arm. Probably makers mark.

Why the hell can't they leave the coins along???

I can understand updating the notes, to make them harder to counterfeit, and I think it was about time for stuff like watermarks, etc.

but coins?? I HATE those new "state" quarters!!  Bring back the cool-looking eagle already!   Now they've fucked up the nickles too??  Damn.

They started doing that in Denmark years ago as well, and it pissed me off then too - they'd start changing the freakin' coins all the time!!   Sheesh - the only time you NEED to change a coin is when the monarch dies!!

The 2005 Red Book Prices them at 25 cents if they are uncirculated and .50 cents if they are choice uncirculated, the dollar coins are worth three dollars if they are MS-63. That's worth a few trips to the bank and a trip to a coin dealer in a few years.
