What should I try to get next, and why?

PSL
SLR-105R (another)
K98 Mauser (another)

*OTHER*?

No ARs right now, or FALs...those will come later on...rightnow these are more, budget minded rifles...simple to operate and maintain.  Plus I already have the ammo for them, and more importantly parts and accessories.

I  have currently:
Yugo SKS (7.62x39)
Mosin Nagant 91/30 Tula Hex (7.62x54R)
Mosin Nagant 1938 (7.62x54R)
SAR-1  (AK47 762.x39)
SAR-3 (AK in .223)
Arsenal SLR-105R (AK74 5.45 )
JLD PTR-91 (G3 .308)
K98 Mauser (8mm)
Czech VZ24 Mauser (8mm)
Enfield No1Mk3 (.303 Brit)
Enfield No4Mk1  (.303 Brit)

i handled a few in a store...wasnt really impressed by them.  The Czech and German Mausers seem to be much finer rifles...and worth the money.  Yugos seem like simple blasters.  You have any reports on them?

I really like mine, it was basically uninssued when I got it, bore is still mirror- shiney. I havent really gotten to shoot any other mausers, so I cant compare quality.

Get a German Mauser, you wont look back

I wish I coudl afford more guns & ammo, but I'm just a college student, and most my cash goes to non gun stuff these days. However, If I wanted to get into (more) debt I could put it on the CC.

im a college student too, I just saved my money and am spending it all on guns and ammo...

Its good to know I can get my money back on most rifles in time...if not they may even increase in value, which is just a bonus

I invested a lot of money into mags(ak74) and barrels (g3)...buy stuff cheap, sell high..turn the profit and spend it on what you want

I do really want to get a CMP garand and a german mauser before they dry up/ get too expensive, but I seem perpetually short on extra cash. Maybe I should find a better (read better paying) job.
(Notice my 8mm stripper'd ammo as my avatar).

However to get back on topic, if you dont like the yugo's enough to get one, go for a Yugo SKS, they are always fun.

I dont have time for something like that...so thats not an option...yeah a M-14 is on my must have list, but thats awhile down the road...thats like $1300+.  Id get a true HK91 before that anyhow (if I stayed in NY in the future).

whats the outlook on .303 surplus ammo availability?  if its poor, ill just get rid of an Enfield and put that $ towards something else.

You do really need a .22 eventually.  Everybody's got at least one 10/22.  Less than $200, incredibly customizable, endless amount of cheap ammo, completely reliable, high level of utility, and just fun to shoot.

I had one...sold it off...for an amazing $75...

I wasnt a fan of it, accurate, but it just didnt entertain me like my Yugo did once I got into centerfire rifles.

If you hurry, you can still get an AK47 parts kit before the new rules take effect.

Build an AK the way you want it ( with-in the law, of coarse ).
