I am in a small town in MO on business for a couple of days, and I am bored as hell. There is not much to do around here but at least they honor my CCW now.

I'm in a small town hotel and as far as I can tell there is not much around here, but I'm going out looking for coke and whores later.

I came prepared and have all the essentials. A hand tossed pepperoni, a six pack of Coors Light, my GLOCK, and my iBook.

Thank goodness for the arfcom masses to keep me company.

I can't wait to get back to Kentucky.

Please, for my sake, stop by Lambert's cafe, and eat some rolls, and all the chicken&dumplings you can hold.

When you come back, post a thread describing the experience.

i dont get this lamberts thing.

sure they throw rolls at you. the okra is good, but its damn loud. too many people packed in, and it tastes just like Cracker Barrel. only it takes an hour and a half to get in on a good day.

having rolls thrown at me doesnt make the food any better.

I currently reside in Murray.

Where are you in IL? Carbondale area?

I'm almost out of Coors Light, and I am the only one here, so yeah, I guess I do.

It's a personal thing. Long story. My once-per-decade trip to Lambert's got pre-empted this year. Again, it's a long story.

But the food IS quite good.....better than cracker barrel.

both Lambert's and Cracker Barrel would be better if they served pitchers.

I am always up for shooting at the neighbor's trash.

Carbondale rocks. When I was in high school, I used to go to my cousin's parties when he was at SIU. It is a wonder I ever made it to college myself.

I don't drink, and to be completely honest, all things being equal, I prefer to eat in restraunts that don't serve alcohol, because I USED to drink, and I have had a few, uh, 'moments' in otherwise nice family restaurants in my life.

<---wondering if any arcommers worked at the Red Lobster in Stillwater, OK, in March of 2001?

Do NOT wear a tie, especially if you are fond of it.

I have been to Lambert's several times but never while wearing a tie.

Why the warning???
