Any one ever build a big one?? My small one will launch a golf ball about 150 yards. I use a 25 lb counter weight with a 36 inch arm. the sling is 24 inches long, and i use a compound lever on the wieght...pat

I loved the one that they built on Junkyard Wars. It worked really well considering that it was made from scrap. That English guy that was launching Morris Minor's and pianos in his backyard is my personal fav.

mine started as as my sons grade school science project. after thqt was over it advanced from there. now it has become a hobby...pat

I'm a mekanik and actually know that a Morris Minor weighs about 2500 pounds! It was a really non-descript mini truck from the 50's that needed to be flung!

OMG yes! My brother has made a couple of them (before I knew he was doing it or I would've been involved). Remember when you were a kid having either bb gun wars or horse chestnut fights???? Think of a couple of 40ish types lauching rocks at each other with small homemade trebuchets. Hey, not as exciting as roman candle and bottle rocket fights, but for an old guy like me, close enough. build it, and enjoy.
