Both the Mountain Dew and Pepsi Throwback are in stock at the local Walmart and grocery stores. It appears that they are continuing to bottle them in 16 oz plastic bottles, 2 liter bottles and the 12 can suitcases.

I've also heard rumors that both Pepsi and Dew Throwbacks are going to become a standard products but I don't know how much of this may be based in fact. Meanwhile, I just stock up again.

I'd bet money you couldn't tell the difference between this and normal pepsi in a blind taste test.  Either way, welcome to diabetes central...

They are in Mexico....why one has to import an AMERICAN product from Mexico to get the real thing is beyond me though.

I can tell the difference....I think its just what you grew up on.

I had a couple bottles of mexican coke and threw the rest away. HFCS for the win, it tastes better to me. (Note, that is a personal opinion that no one needs to get butthurt about)

I can. They taste very different.

I drink very few (maybe two or three a week) but I really like the Dr. Pepper with real sugar.

Can you tell us why diabetes will be the result?

Your conclusion is contradictory to several studies about the problems with HFCS. Please help us understand.

While not a scientific study, when this stuff came out some friends and I did our own little blind taste test.

Out of 5 people, every single one could tell which was which.
Some still preferred the HFCS stuff..but they could tell.

You'd be wrong about that, and HFCS has more link to diabetes than sucrose.

Missing from here since end of summer - hoping it shows up again soon. Like it better than Jones Cola to satisfy my love of a sugary beverage. Oh, yeah - wife likes it too.

Just say no to HFCS,

Sugary drinks are high in calories and generally do not satisfy hunger, as well as being linked with elevated weight, the leading cause for diabetes.  Some people can handle them, and they're probably no big deal in small quantities.  HFCS and sugar are identical in this regard.
