I am redoing a 95 burb.  I am trying to determine if a fuel injected V-8 can be put into this thing.  I am thinking of a Vortec 305 or 350 with a 4L60E (65E or even a 70).  I will need some kind of engine management system for it as well.  4x4.

My google-fu is weak on this search, and am submitting the following question for the Hive:

Were can I get a complete fuel injected V-8 (vortec type), with a beefy 4L60E (or stronger), transfer case, and a computer that will run the whole thing (independant of the host trucks electrical systems) in a single package?

Thanks

Did someone remove the fuel injection from it? It already has a 4l60E transmission.

Or, are you looking to refit it to a later powertrain?

The 95 is a throttle body.  I have acsess to a 99  and a 03 vortec.  I am thinking that a EMS type system will run the engine, but the transmission aplications from EMS are a but lacking.  I think that TCI can provide the electronics for the transmission.  A TCI maximizer TC will be used as well as the transfer case from either a 94 or 99 K1500.  The 95 host truck does not have the ability to run the Vortecs electronics.

I am trying to anticipate tuning issues between the various components and the manufacturers 'are not sure' of their $700-1000 management systems will work together.  Finding a single providor may eliminate a bunch of headaches.

Edelbrock has packages that include engine, computer, etc.   You can look on their website or check with Summit racing or Jeg's.

Pretty sure the Megasquirt systems are still going strong.

Pleanty of DIY but with an incredible community behind it.

I think that the Edelbrock 3501 is what I need, but it is discontinued...
I have not been able to find an updated system...

Megasquirt is the way to go.  They've got a new version out there and the forums for it are loaded with knowledgeable people who are willing to help.  It's cheap, and you can even build it yourself if you want to.
