Sooo DRT or no?
ETA does uncle Sam know you are shooting up his plates? |
Holy shit, these guys are into reloading now? We're sooooo fucked. |
Willing to bet death would result from massive blunt force trauma.. Just because it doesn't pass through doesn't mean you live. Pericardial tamponade is a real bitch.
From that back face deformation I pretty sure you would be incapcitated even with a level 3a vest behind the plate. Perhaps not dead but your ribs are broke, organs bruised, maybe even heart stopped from the impact.
So, If that was on your chest you would have had about 6 ribs broken? Ouch, but not dead.

No, did not go through, but it would hurt like a mofo. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes I don't know man that's a whole fuckload of trauma you could very well die from that I'd think. |

View Quote Never ever thought I would say this but.......I came here to post that pic. So, guessing the Lapua misspelling jokes are already in full swing?? |
Even thought the round didn't make it all the way through, I bet that shot would feel like lying on the ground and letting someone take a half swing to your chest with a 6-8lbs sledge.
Let's see what would you be left with after a concussive blow of that nature?
Broken sternum? Multiple rib fractures? 30min to gather your thoughts on how fucking lucky you are to be able to still breath?.....after you catch the wind that was knocked out of you of course. Damn, just damn. |

I'd bet good money that you wouldn't live through that much trauma to the vital area, plate or no plate.

so to some of the questions i actually have another armor plate I've shot give me a min and ill upload those and i wanna try again with a fmj i just don't have any right now and I'm fresh out of armor plates

I'd be okay after taking a shot like that since resulting impact would cause me to dispel any energy imparted into my body by the bullet impact by shitting myself.
This is now a poop thread. |
