I saw this stuff on DefRev a while back, or History Channel or something, and it looks like a good idea.  However, I have concerns that though the laminated glass might hold, the frame would not (as the glass could be knocked in a solid piece from the frame).  Anyone have experiance with this stuff, or know how the glass is secured in the window frame?

you talking about laminated glass? or are you talking about the film that you can put on  the glass?Either way it is not really going to stop anyone from breaking in, although it will slow them down. Actual laminated glass is super expensive. any more Q's feel free to IM me, I work in the film business.

was looking at that stuff from the post, that is some pretty good shit, its not gonna be cheap though. I dont install their product but I do some other brands and it aint cheap. only did 1 house, usually we do businesses. eventually though it will turn yellow on your window and have to be removed... which is impossible. id estimate a 10 year life if in the direct sun.

Did you just see this on the latest episode of "It Takes a Thief"?

That's one of the problems with "Mylar" type covering for windows. The frame still needs to be secured to the wall to prevent the frame from being blown out.

Yeah, the film, and yeah, "It Takes A Thief" reminded me of the stuff.
