Any one know what part of a 107mm rocket is the explosive? I know this isn't the right place to post this but fuck it I want to know. One landed 30 feet from me today. Didn't det. I'm in Afghanistan.

Before this post gets moved, I'll try to answer it. After reviewing some schematics, it looks like the main charge is in the head of the rocket from the tip to about 10 inches down. I bet your friendly neighborhood EOD specialist could tell you more than those schematics could tell me though. Stay safe over there!

The very tip is the booster explosive and then the rest of the top is the main charge.

Hmmm eod blew it up and then I dug it out but the head is intact as far as I can tell. Maybe I should have it looked at.

So the detinator was blown off so it's no longer active and is safe. Says army eod. I never want a rocket to land anywhere near me again. 30feet is way to close
