Quoted: Love it Prefer dried unsweetened but its hard to find Buy a dehydrator, I cut fresh pineapple into slices 1/2" thick dehydrate and then vac pack in a food saver, and freeze. When I'm out hunting or fishing or just working in the woods a few packages in your pocket make a great snack. |

Only fresh pineapple -- fresh pineapple slices/pieces and fresh squeezed pineapple juice.
Anything that isn't fresh or imitation pineapple makes me want to vomit. Too damn fake. Same with coconuts. I love fresh coconut meat and the fresh water of them. Fake coconut is awful. But pack to pineapple, my favorite is fresh sliced pineapple with some kosher salt that has had red pepper flakes muddled into it. Mmmmmm! Sweet, salty, spicy! |

Lived in Hawaii, in the midst of thousands of acres of pineapple fields. One day, on a whim, I stopped the car and poached one from the side of the road. Took it back to the house and cut it and shared it with my neighbor. We both agreed that it was the best pineapple we had ever tasted. It was warm from the sun, and just somehow tastier than the store bought ones.
Incidentally, every time I bought a pineapple from a store on the island, it was from Costa Rica. I was told that all the pineapples grown on the island were sold for juice or crushed or sliced, and whole pineapples came from elsewhere. |

Its basically a poor man's Tajin. We put it on a lot of fruits when growing up, juicy red apples go great with it also. |

I gotta admit, sometimes canned is better than fresh.
But, under no circumstances does it cross from dessert into entree category. You don't cross the streams. Pineapple upside-down cake? Great! Grilled pineapple with some honey? Great! Pineapple on pizza? GTFO! Pineapple in meatloaf? Fuck that. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Canned is almost always better than fresh, at least in OH.
And yes, it makes your baby gravy better tastier for your SO; I learned this from a girlfriend who went to school in HI and insisted I eat more pineapple and other fruit. It made a world of difference when it came to receiving a BJ. ETA, it works the same on her too. Diets high in meat and fat have a direct effect on the going down. |

Maui gold is the best, the little ones are the tastiest of the lot. A pineapple that is fully ripened on the vine and not picked green is way better than any others. |
