I don't know about that. It works pretty well for impressing some people at parties  . If you REALLY know what you're doing I think it could be an effective defensive instrument. There are a lot of movements you can do that are unbelievably quick. With that said, I wouldn't rely on one to save my ass, I'm not that good. MJD

Butterfly knives were cool when I was 15. Now they don't impress me.
