[ARCHIVED THREAD] - operating system backup disc...

How do I find out what disk I need for a backup? I kinda broke my hard drive and they say I need an operating system backup disk. It's an Acer Aspire 5755. I have the box and everything else so I should be able to find out anything else you guys need.
