not sure if this is right forum, sorry, if not...I have the rings on my sp2 millet red dot almost up against the turrets. I can rotate(spin the whole body of the scope) I'm sure this can't be right, how to fix? should I remove it, tighten the tube and re-install? thanks for any help....never had something like this happen before....

If your rings are tightened down all the way then you have the wrong size rings. They may sell spacers to take up the slack, but either way you should NOT be able to move the scope when ti is tightened down.

You have the wrong sized rings, or need spacers to fill in the gap.

Depending on how loose they are you might be able to put a layer of electrical tape inside the rings to take up the slop.
I do this to keep the rings from scratching the scope finish too.

thanks for replies...should of been more specific....the part the rings are touching is not moving, but the center part(body?) of the scope...I know this sounds weird

That'd be it. I wouldn't go with spacers, just get the right rings.

It's a common practice for one piece of shit gun store round here, to just say "oh yeah, these'll fit" and sell the novice customers any old thing.

ETA: Phumb, is it possible for you to post pics of your issue?
