He got pretty busted up in Mad Max.  The steel leg brace-thingy was from when he got shot by Bubba Zenetti.... Good God, why do I remember that!?!?!

He got all chewed up in RW too, a couple of times.  First when he took off after getting the Big Rig back to the compound, the second time was when he crashed the rig and got left behind....

At the end you see the older almost do-able chick "telling the tell","you got listen and member." There were alot of people around her so I would think some place in Sidney(sp) life was better than barter town. They did get the little guy.

I always thought the child in her lap may be baby Max.

Lol, my kids and me watched all three last weekend.

At the end of the last movie they had realized the city (tomorrow-land ?) was dead but at one time people could do things beyond their 'reconing'. THey got some lights going to hopefully attract anyone who still wondered the wasteland, including 'Captain Walker'. So it didn't get back to normal like we would consider, but they weren't fighting so it went back to normal for them.

I could have sworn that I heard something (maybe just a rumor) about them thinking of doing a sequal to Thunderdome.  Am I just imagining things?

I don't blame you. There were parts of all three movies I wanted to fast forward past, but once you start skipping there'd be little left.

Considering the closing frames of Road Warrior, don't see how it could. The tribe was camped out in the blasted shell of a high-rise overlooking the ruins of Sydney Harbor.

I seem to remember an interview with Gibson that he was open to the idea, but given the latest blows to his career...I kinda doubt it has a chance.

To understand whats happening, you have to watch
Mad Max, then Road Warrior, then Mad Max beyond thunderdome,
in that order, or you'll really be confused.

my understanding was that the 4th was being filmed, but the shithole they were filming it in erupted into war and they had to big out, kinda makes movies hard ot recover

they were in Sydney, the opera house was clearly visible, but it was pretty much a burned out shell of the city
probably a bit radioactive too, might not have been the best place for them to go to

Fury Road
it was in pre production, they were going to film it in some north african desert country (why there and not the outback I have no idea, when you consider the cost of flying everyone out there I'd think it'd cancel out the local labor savings, but then GW2 started and they got scared

It been long enough now, Jesus Christ 20 SUM YEARS! since the road warrior came out, so doing a sort of revamped sequal in that style as opposed to Thunderdome would be pretty good. I just hope they keep it "punkish" and "rock n rollish" and dont try to turn the bad guys into "hip hop" gangsters or some such garbage. "The Ayatolla of hip hopola!!" Nah, dont work for me.

I have caught bits and pieces of Mad Max on Cable.  It is the Australian version and it has more seams to have more scenes.  Also, I think Mad Max would have made a great TV series if it was set in the pre apocalypse of the original Mad Max world.

I always liked the set-up of seeing the Pursuit cars and then the back of Max’s Interceptor.

ya to hear it as it was filmed in their high pitched Aussy voices is different and adds to the realism.
