hoping to get out and re learn my land nav skills with map and compass this spring. been looking for a gi compass but the prices are pretty high. Anyone know where to find the used or at a decent price?

i don't need tritium just a decent current military style <thats what i am familier with using>

i see several folks selling the 9.00 chicom plastic ripoffs but i'd like something a bit better than those.

If you're looking for basic land nav skills, a simple baseplate compass is sufficient.  You don't need a lensatic compass until you need to shoot medium and long range bearings.
Silva and Suunto are good brands: www.thecompassstore.com/baseplate-compasses.html

ETA - misread your post.  My lensatic is a gunshow special.  I don't know anything about $9 lensatics.

IM me.   I have one I'll give you If you give me a day or 2 to find it.   I scored it as a secondary item in a "buy all this for $20" when I would have bought the one thing I needed for $20.

How much are they worth?  This one has a case and a disclaimer that says you cant just throw it away at a regular dump.  Im sure it's GI, I live 10 minutes from Ft Bragg.
