E-mail response from the jackass Senator from Maine
"After talking with gun owners and hunters in Maine, I have reached the conclusion that limiting magazine capacity to 10 rounds would not overly restrict the lawful use of firearms for hunting, target shooting, or self-defense and could substantially help in an active shooter situation. In fact, Maine already limits magazine capacity to 5 rounds during hunting season. I believe that banning high-capacity magazines could save lives in a mass-shooting and I recently cosponsored the Keeping Americans Safe Act, S. 1945, which would limit magazines to 10 rounds and creates a buy-back program for high capacity magazines that are already in use." --Senator Anus King, Maine Mr. King only heard the voices in his head. Another moonbat "Independent". |

The 2A s not about hunting, yet everything to do with a Free State.

Send him a video of some mag changes, and ask him how this will help an active shooter situation.
Especially with the police cowering outside. Failed To Load Title Ask him to show you where the police come in. |

So if restricting "high capacity" mags would impede an active shooter... wouldn't they impede somebody using said firearm for self-defense against multiple assailants?

Dear Mr. King,
A large bag of dicks, eat one. Sincerely, America |

10 round mag limit stopped NO ONE during the 94 AWB. Leftist Commie bullshit!

First, how is he going to buy back something that he didn't own to start with? Also, I don't think limiting his freedom of speech would overly restrict his rights

The Great Hunting Myth, with the predictable Fudd endorsement. Soon to be confirmeded by the police & mil "authorities" on the subject.

Tell him that columbine happened during the awb, tell him that the VT shooter and recent FL guy used 10 round mags.
|
|
"Limiting cars to 30 mph would not overly restrict..."
See how this works? |
|
Which is why all LEO in Maine are fine with switching to 10 round mags, right? Or nah?

My reply,
I am sick and tired of politicians like yourself thinking that it is okay to use my rights as a bargaining tool. I am past the point of being concerned about whatever laws you feel like passing and whatever arbitrary restrictions you “think” are going to be followed. While those on the other side boldly break the law and continue to do so without repercussions, I have continued to be a “model citizen”. While you as well as others openly and continually violate your oaths of office and subvert the Constitution that you swore to defend, I have given more than I am comfortable giving. I will not be participating with any future “orders” to give up any more of my freedoms. That time has passed. If any of you want to talk about restoring the rights that you have unlawfully stripped from myself and every other law abiding American, I’m here. Otherwise, the conversation is OVER. |

I guess IPSC, USPSA, 3GN, etc don't count as "target shooting" to these stupid motherfuckers.

Guns should be restricted to only one bullet. Just like King's security details should be restricted to only one bullet for defensive purposes, as there's never a need for more than one bullet in case King gets attacked by a deer. |

It's becoming more and more obvious that brains are not a requirement for holding political office....

Magazine capacity restrictions are just going to push people towards larger, more effective calibers and drive technology of the projectiles faster and further.
|
|
I bet we see this ten round shit on a federal level. It will be the "compromise". I figured as much when we started hearing rumors of ten rounders used at parkland.
|
|
Shoot 1, count 2, reload 3? Or was it reload 4?
Theoretically, a law which imposes limitations (even if not "overly restrictive") on my capability to defend myself should also convey the proportionate measure of responsibility for that defense. Even with a good solid hit ratio of 1/3, 3 attackers puts a strain on a 30 round magazine. 3 dispersed muggers or home invaders means that one's accuracy must be nearly perfect for 3 2chest/1head drills before a 10rnd mag change. Fuck that noise. I propose we limit his car to just barely the horsepower required to get it to 60mph in 20 seconds. That's it... that's all he gets. Nothing more than that. Some little .4-.5 liter engine, no turbo. Let him drive around in that for a while, see if he thinks he'd rather have all that 'extra' 'unneeded' horsepower. Then when he does want it, we make wait 12 months for a replacement engine, that he must register, pay a special tax on, and be forever branded as a 'high-powered engine owner'. He also cannot remove it, install it, nor make any modifications to it unless he pays the tax again, applies for approval which could take 2 years, only then can he have an approved shop make only those specified mods. |

I guess I've been reading it wrong all this time...
