im a 18 year old and i live in ohio is there any reason i couldnt carry one without getting in trouble? im just looking at some diff things to carry for selfdefense...right know its a balisong..lol evil

Around here it'll get you the same penalty as carrying a concealed handgun.

Check your state code as see what it said. A lot of states dont regulate it. Here in Va it isnt listed under 18.2-308 as defined as a "weapon." They are very specific when it comes to court with this they like the exact wording. Check your code and look out for things like flail or billy club. If they are there look at the bottom of that code section or previos section for "definitions." Contact you attourny general or local police dept too.

Finally, remember that ASP can be considered deadly force. If you flail someone in the head repeatedly you could go to jail or get sued. If they have a gun or a knife dont worry about it. I would suggest taking the ASP course and considering OC instead.
