Sex swing?

You would probably need to run a 2x4 between the joists and then screw into the 2x4...

Got that sex swing eh?

You are going to either have to mount into the joists or use a cross brace between them like what is used for ceiling fans

Wood blocking from stud to stud.

1 - 2x6 horizontally in between studs toe-nailed from top and bottom.

Requires sheetrock work.

Whoops, you said ceiling.

Same thing only the length between the joists.

If you could hit both joists that would be enough, if not, then the procedure I said above. Although with ceilings, you generally want to nail from the opposite sides of the joists into the wood blocking.

Which means a bigger sheetrock patch job.
