Very nice, but I think the cap on the fore-end looks out of place on that stock.  It just doesn't click with me.  Everything else is slick!

Nice!  I was wondering if you ever finished it.

Is that one piece of wood until the last 4 inches near the muzzel? If so thats some really good woodworking!

Stock looks awesome, but would've looked even better with a solid red butt pad (a la older Ruger rifles).  Otherwise, its perfect.

Nice wood.  What's with the scratch on the right side of the stock?

Ask GF to wear a ski mask if she wants to hide her face.  She would look so, RoP if she did.

It's been shot several times.  I'm not one to baby my weapons...although I don't throw them down sidewalks either!

Put a good peep sight on that thing and my whole opinion of the SKS would change.

Looks really nice.  What's with the thick recoil pad though?   You shooting 50 cal 7.62 x 39 in that thing?

It was cheap and I didn't think it would turn out all that good.  I was just experimenting.  Although, I have to say, not much recoil with this rifle anymore!

Does the op rod at the top move when you shoot it?  IE: Can you get your hand or something caught in it?

Wow, thats some pretty impressive handiwork there.  You're going to want something over the gas tube, though..those can get kinda hot

I don't generally like the concept of sporterizing military rifles, and the Simonov in particular must suffer from more "customizations" that make the rifle worse, not better, than any other military style carbine.

That being said, your stock is the best "home-grown" SKS stock I have ever seen.  You should be proud.
