Every once in a while, today for example, I wake up in the morning and drink the same 20oz mug of coffee I've been drinking every morning for years, but when the buzz kicks in, it feels like I am OD'ing of caffeine. Today I made my usual dose in a cheap 4 cup mr. coffee, with two big scoops of dunkin donuts beans. Drank it down at about 9AM this morning and here seven hours later I still feel like I've been popping no-doze all day. shaky, heart racing, hard core caffeine jitters. wtf.

Maybe I've been drinking it too long, but I can drink a POT of Community Dark Roast and then go take a nap.

The dosing of caffeine in coffee is inexact. Maybe you should just take no-doze instead?

It's usually the same for me. I drink cup after cup all day. On weekends I usually just make one mug full in the morning to keep the headaches away. Today that one mug felt like I drank five pots of the shit as quick as I could.

If you took ten no-doz you'd feel a lot like you were dead.  Because you would be.

I think it happens because beans have varying amounts of caffeine.

500mg of caffeine isn't a lethal dose.

Toss in some Ginseng and Ginko Biloba too. You'll never forget jack and you'll be even more wired.

My High School senior year we thought it would be a good idea to knock back 5-6 NODOOZ and 3-4 shots of Jim Beam before a party. My my heart raced and my skin felt like it was crawling for hours. We switched to mixing Red Bull and Vodka from then on. Anymore it's just coffee and yes sometimes it does seem to affect me more. Same heart racing skin crawling feel.
