Does anyone know if those electronic rust proof gadgets work as a rust proofer on autos ? Or is getting it undercoated a better option ? When I buy a auto or truck it has to last a looong time, that is why I inquire.

Some zinc anodes on the body work might help corrosion, but they must be replaced often and the electrical connections must be dead nuts for them to work at all.

The ones I am talking about send a small pulse of electric through the sheet metal  which I am told excite the molecules of metal and in turn prevent surface rust from forming, they use a similar thing on bridges to prevent rust, that is why you see those solar panels by some bridges.
