need a quick answer so im posing this is GD

Im looking to drill and tap something. The piece going in is threaded 8/32 and i have taps for that size. What drill size do i need?

#29 bit

ETA I just looked at the chart here at work and it's equivalent to a 1/8 bit. You may get by with a 9/64 also.

9/64 is .1406"

#29 is .136"

Not exactly the same, but depends what you're building on if its important.
