My friend is having a problem with this and wants to know how to log back in after a ddos attack, and I have no fucking clue what to tell him. Any help would be appreciated.

No, not this site. He is trying to log back online.

If someone launched a ddos against him personally he needs to contact his internet provider.

ETA:  He could also just try resetting his cable/dsl modem.

If he is assigned a DHCP address, he can hope and pray that he'll pull a different IP after power cycling his modem. Leave it down for 3-4 minutes and power it back up.

Then show him to ipcop.org

Basically, the distributed denial of service attack, which realy doesn't even need to be distributed based on the type of modem, is flooding the modem with so many packets (may even be malformed), that using the Internet is impossible.  Contact the ISP...

ETA: If the modem reset idea doesn't work, which is a good idea considering the only other alternative above...

Thanks for the help, everyone. Resetting his modem didn't work, so I guess he is stuck with contacting his provider.
