But I have to admit I did get confused about who the OP was talking about, and I am so bummed because he was one of my favorite Olympic athletes - Gold in summer biathalon in the '75 Montserat Olympics, IIRC.  Too bad he went all wacky in his later years what with the face-lifts and such.
