i cant even tell you how f'ing irritating this is.

friends send me emails, with pictures embedded. i cant see the pictures, again. customers send me emails with the work they need done, cant see those pictures either unless they add it as an attachment.

i went through this problem months ago, and did a couple things, added Adobe reader of some sort.

then, last week it started doing it again- either the red X box, or a image that looks like a piece of paper torn sideways / broken link image

thats what i see in the top left corner where the picture SHOULD be.

i spent about an hour on one of those chat / help sessions, ive cleared cookies, ive clicked on allow pop-ups,

ive tried system restore to about 3 weeks ago when i COULD see the pictures, ive uninstalled and reinstalled adobe reader,

ive tried opening the pics on FireFox and Internet Explorer. I even downloaded and installed Google Chrome-  and NONE of the 3 allow me to see the f'ing pictures.

now, how the hell did i fix it 2-3 months ago, it magically starts the same problem, and i cant fix it now?

anyone have this problem ?

What email program are you using.....Gmail, Yahoo, Comcast....etc???? There usually is a check box in your user settings that allows you to view pictures that are attached to emails....

OK, see if this works......Open up your Comcast email and go to the "Preferences" tab, then go to the "Email" tab on the left side of your screen..... On the right side of the screen under the "Display" section, make sure that you have the "Display Format: As HTML (When Possible)" checked and then below that, make sure that you have the "Download images automatically in HTML email" checked....

If you are using FireFox, you might want to go to the "Tools" tab and click on "Options"...... from there go to "Content" and see if the "Load images automatically" box is checked....If that doesn't work, then I am not sure what the problem might be....

damnit this is irritating !

ive upgraded to Internet Explorer 8 or 9,

ive reinstalled the Adobe Flash Player, cleared cookies + cash, emailed the pics to my other accounts....

still, the pictures dont show up !!

WTF !?!?!?!

EDIT - i just checked these emails on my girlfriends laptop, and ive checked the emails ive received, and forwarded to my other accounts, and still can not see them. i wonder if this is a problem on the SENDERS computers ? but im having these problems from at least 2 different senders.
