i ship out january 17th, i got 11xray as my job so i am happy goodbye guys! |
roger that, I wonder if some of the older guys still hold that MOS, I think they pretty much just axed it??? |
If those are the same big hairy, red & black fuckers that squeak when you step on them, you'll need more than an AT-4 round(They've got em at Bragg and Polk too). ![]() Good luck. |

Ah Georgia - If you put your boots on in the morning and they start squriming you grabbed a cockroach by mistake.he If you find yourself with your head inextricably shoved up your ass then sound off with a loud and thunderous "yes, drill sergeant" and move out. |
Hey!!! IM me your name. I ship out for FT Benning on Jan 7th. Maybe I can stop by your training BN and say hi . . . .Yeah, I know, they frown on non-affiliated officers dropping by to 'just say hi' to the recruits. |

i live at benning, courtesy of the one brigade of 3ID here on kelly hill. when it warms up say hi to the gnats for me. they will make you want to take your own life. ill be in iraq by then, so have fun! the one cool thing about bsic here is that they give the recruits passes all the damn time it seems, and they are allowed to hit the regular PX and mini mall. just remember after you do your "turning blue" or whatever its called and the drills ease up on you and allow you guys to order pizza, tip the delivery girl well, because shes probably going to be my wife. mech infantry just go to a little school/class thing where they learn bradleys or strykers, but they still hold the 11b designation. the range where the 'cruits do their bradley and stryker gunnery training is right across the street from my quarters, so i may hear you at 3am firing the 25mm, as i hear EVERYBODY.... ![]() if you get 11C, be smart enough to request an assignment with 3ID, or an armored division. they get to tool around in modified M113's with mortar tubes. ive heard some dumbass kids all proud of going to the 82nd and 101st as 11C's, little do they know that they will be carrying baseplates, tubes and ammo alongside the guys with the 5lb M4's. |
please dont the rest of your platoon will thank me, you will have plenty of time to take pics during the rest of your army career, plus there isn't that much cool stuff to take pics of in basic / ait unless you consider low crawl high crawl fun
|
what unit you with? you might have signed me in too.... |
Does the top percentile that go into airborne go to the 82nd and the rest go to the 101st or vice-versa? I KNOW its one or the other.
