Hello,

LEO here, I'm trying to decide on what to get.  Price not withstanding would who prefers the bushy or the colt for LEO's. Does it matter?  The Bushies are cheaper in price.
thanks

just trying to make  a decision, not to start a debate. Sorry for the retread. I know u guys have been tru this before.

Oh I haven't seen this one in a while.

My 2 cents: Bushy...more bang for the buck.

About the same, really. If you can afford to pay more, get the Colt for resale value. Otherwise, the Bushmaster will be fine.

It is outside the parameters of your topic, but have you considered a Rock River Arms?  I have a RRA M4 Entry Tactical.  It is very well equiped out of the box.  Due to tenure, I did not qualify for our last SWAT team tryouts...but have several fellow patrol team members who are on SWAT.  They, of course, have Colt M4's.  Several have checked out my RRA and agree it is outstanding in quality, fit, finish, etc. From what I can tell you, it is an excellent CQB\urban carbine.
Just a little food for thought.

I have one of each. I have also been to the Colt AR15 factory armorer's course. I have chosen to carry my Bushmaster Dissipator on Patrol. Everybody turns out a lemon on occassion, but my personal and armorer experiences lead me to believe that Bushmaster is turning out a higher quality rifle, on a more consistent basis, than Colt at the present time. If we are talking preban Colt rifles, then I believe that they are usually pretty equal in quality. tx50

I  prefer Colt. Bushy is not bad. But Colt is held to a high standard due to its military contracts. Overall I have had better performance from my Colts than the Bushys I have owned.
