so my inventory shows 21 mags for my two beretta 92Gs, but I can only find 19. I've been cleaning out my gun room (holy crap I have alot of holsters) and can't find them, so I turn to GD for help.

good idea, no dice though. I usually wear jeans and the pockets are too tight to comfortably hold mags.

Check your ammo cans?  I usually keep a mag or two in with my range ammo.

Also check your range bag, spare magazine holders.

Do you keep spare mags in your glove compartment?

Are you counting the magazines in the pistols?

I usually only keep AR and AK mags in ammo cans.  But I'll go check.  No spare mags in glove compartment.  I checked my range bag but it just occurred to me about the range bag I gave to a buddy a few weeks ago...

I had lost some AUG mags for the longest time, then eventually found them stuffed in an ammo can.  Strangely enough, they were put there so that I wouldn't lose them

That "putting stuff in a safe place so you won't lose it" will get you every time!

those things are small!

I did spend an hour one time last year tearing the house apart looking for my gsg 1911.  It fell behind an ammo cabinet.

Still betting on range bag in the wrong pocket, or in the original hard plastic case on the high shelf in the closet.

Got a reloading bench? Check under there. Sometimes sundry gun bits get mixed in with cans, boxes, etc. around the cleaning table/reloading bench. Speaking of which, where's the last place you cleaned the gun in question? Any bags of boxes or cans full of cleaning supplies?

You could always check the fridge.

For serious, sucks when you can't find something.
I am very meticulous and methodical when looking for something, not in a mad dash.
Such as when my Wife wanted to show some of her jewellery to some company; knew it WAS in my large gun safe, however, have been moving things around to maximize storage space.
Looked several times, nothing of hers in safe!
Then, I thought must have put it on stack able racks, yes, there it was, was getting chest pains by then.
She finds out I did not lock up her valuables, I know one of you guys told her.
