I saw some .45 there a few weeks ago. $20 for 100 rounds. Not bad for .45.

WalMart Valuepack ammo is great plinking stuff.  The 45ACP runs at something like 19.97/100.  The 45 is different from the 9mm valuepack, in that it's boxed with styrofoam (vs. loosepacked 9mm), and is the regular whitebox ammo (vs. the "brass-washed"? bullet of the 9mm valuepacks.)  I'm not really familiar with the .223 valuepacks, as the price just isn't that good, IMO.

They also have 40 S&W value packs for about $15 for a box of 100.

The 9MM, 40 S&W and .45 ACP value packs are all great buys (and make it hard to justify reloading plinking ammo – especially in 9MM).  However, the 9MM strikes me as a little underpowered.

I have bought about 4 boxes of .45/100 for only $19.97 a box.

I have shot 1000s of rounds of 9mm and now am using the .45 as well but have maybe shot a thousand of 45.
Great stuff for the price. I have never had a failure of any kind.

Winchester white box is good ammo.  The 9mm chronos at about 1140 fps, a little under powered, but reliable.  I recommend reloading 45 acp if you want to shoot it a lot.  Also Academy Sports has Blazer 9 mm for $3.99 per box, if you don't mind aluminum cases.

Tonight Value packs they had .223 in 55 grn fmj for $7 sumthin, 45 grn JHP for just under $12 (decided I'ld try a box), 45, 40, 38, 9mm. Don't recall seeing any other valupaks.

I've shot the 45, 9mm and 223.  Good plinking and fun stuff.  None of it seemed to be super hot.  But it went where I aimed so I was happy.

They had WSSM in 223 and 243 not value packs.  Was surprised as Orange County CA is not exactly a hot bed of varmint hunting. I guess they got a couple of boxes automatically to see if it sells.
