Eh not enough source material, they should make a two hour film instead.
Think it'll be as good as MTV's take on The Shannara Chronicles?
If they condense the middle four or five books into one episode, it may be good. I love the series, but there is only so much braid tugging, and Perrin hating his axe I can take.
I was a huge Robert Jordan fan and read the series until he died. I'd love to see a tv series about the books. I'd finally find out how it ends...lol.

So hours upon hours of adolescent minded opposite gender hating and Tar Valon.
Meh, I'd watch. |
A visual of magical weaves would probably look stupid on film. And no weaves would make it hard to appreciate what's going on.

Whoever did Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series did a horrible job. Shannara Chronicles has been much better so far with, of course, Game of Thrones blowing them all out of the water (even if they don't follow the books). So there is hope that this will be good.
Agreed that Brandon Sanderson did an excellent job completing the series. |

Warn me so I can skip the season where all they do is travel from tavern to tavern entertaining.

Soooo... I'll see three episodes and not want anything else to do with it?

Highly mediocre source material, no character development.
Yawn. Pass. |

I tried reading it, just never really enjoyed the series much. It's been so long since I tried I can't really remember why.

The books were like a million pages each, one series is barely going to cover an entire chapter

Dude. Brandon Sanderson saved the shit out of that series. I'd been reading it since the second book was first released in hardback, if that gives you any idea of the timeline and from about book 7 on it was nothing but dreck and ass-flavored ass. Just ass piled on top of ass, like a veritable Dragonmount of Ass where Lews Therin broke the worlds ass and thrust the mighty spire of ass skyward with a level of detail oriented suck not seen since. Read the last three books. Sanderson made the series fun again. View Quote Edit: FUCK YOU DEATH. |
