Just watched the first episode: If peace like aliens came down to Earth like them, what would you do?

1) Organize & provision sleeper cells just in case the aliens turn bad.
2) Wait & see.
3) Act like a mole and join the Alien organization as a Earth ambassador.
4) Join up just because the Aliens are the future.

Personally I would be intensely curious and attempt to get a job with the aliens to see their hardware and possibly go to space. And I figure if I found out something bad was going to happen to humanity, I would be have information and possible alien tech to help the resistance.

BTW, so far I think the show looks much better than 80's version. And I like having a priest as a hero.

The black resistance fighter totally surprised me. As did the male FBI agent.

Anna is just the right mix of cute/creepy.

You plan (as usual
) is flawed. If they can do all the things they demonstrate isn't it probable they would also have a mind reading device and be able to detect your true intentions long before you'd learn anything useful?

The black guy was definitely a surprise.  Not so much of a surprise with the FBI guy.  Too many "leaks" early on, and the scene in the shack was kind of .... weak.

<opens door and briefly peeks into shack>
"Gee, I guess there isn't anything here .... lets go."

Interesting idea though behind the show, never saw or heard of the original.  Will give it at least several weeks to see how it pans out.  I'm now torn between watching this or The Universe on Tues nights ...

It was pretty good considering I don't watch any TV on Tuesday nights.  So I'll tune in.

Anyone know if it's going to re-run or if it's on the net?

I'd form/join a sleeper cell. If you board their ship and learn of their true intentions it is doubtful you will get out of there alive.

i saw that male fbi agent coming, and agree w/ the priest as a hero thing (though when they first showed him i thought they would just be using him to attack Catholicism like hollywood usually does)

i wasnt sure what to expect from that black guy though, but his actions in the begining were suspicious enough to point to him hiding something big

show looks good, and liked how hanity used it to blast obama. (anyone else think of msnbc when the guy was interviewing the leader)

Buy guns to fight the libtard aliens
Build large compound of mazes and lizard killing devices and deathtraps baited with hampsters and parakeets.
I save the world
The end

Damn right. I have seen far too many of these "To Serve Man" scenarios in movies and on TV to ever trust any aliens, especially those offering us utopia on earth.

I say start preparing for the worst.   We are Arfcom. We are the resistance.

I think you might be able to watch it on ABC.com.  I think my wife catches some shows there.

First I'd offer them to eat our president, congressional members and other leaders if they were feeling hungry for pork.
Than setup a nice alien bar and whorehouse to spread alien love and liquor for all to enjoy. It's all pink.

Vegetable oil. Don't want to promote a taste for raw meat in any way other than the the lovin kind.
