I looked really close at the pixels.

It's a chop.

My daughter has a DVD of all of these, no clue where it came from.  Animation.

Pretty sure this was one of the tech demos for the ATI Radeon 97xx / 98xx series of video cards.

Incidentally, the WWII bazooka was named after the bazooka musical instrument, which was assembled from random metal junk. The resemblance between the two really is uncanny.

Whoa, blast from the past...I thought it looked familiar.  My first real video card was a 9700.  Paid the ungodly sum of 350 dollars for it.

Promptly crushed the chip trying to replace the stock heatsink with a better one.

Animusic.com  Their second DVD has been out for maybe two years and the third is due up "soon."

It's two graphic designers/computer engineers that do this as a hobby.  Their company "pays the bills" with contract work and this is more of a side job.

They write a program that details the animation and then use a MIDI file to "control" it.  The music controls the animation, not the other way around.  Because it's so complex, it requires a LOT of rendering time and their server farm is beyond beefy.

I've got both discs and would highly recommend them.

Yup. As soon as it starts moving around it's real obvious.

Now maybe it took 4 years to do the animation............
