Well my $0.2
I thought the movie was great.
Of course there were certain issues that were "anti-conservative" but there were a number of items that could be considered "anti-liberal".
The bottom line, and someone else mentioned this, it that the people rose up against an oppressive regime and actually fought back although without arms. The people recognized, after some coaxing, that their rosey lives, in a very SOCIALISTIC state, not unlike what would occur under an Ultra Liberal government, were not so rosey. I think it is important to note that most of the government intrusion in the movie would be a dream for many liberals.
And as Sader noted...The conservative bashing came when the US was seen as a broken nation in the midst of a civil war because of it's war on terror. A civil war in the ole US' future, that I can see....
Is this really that far fetched? The civil war in the movie was not only in response to disease and the war, but there were RACE wars going on too. I have read numerous posts with many arfcommers stating that scenario in the US has distinct potential.
