Don't know if anyone's watching, but, some troops set up a checkpoint during the day.....Thier PL left them there personally. They go through the whole night there....

Then, the team leader (I'm assuming) calls in a "POSREP" the next morning. All he did was give a grid, so I'll assume it means position report.

Is a POSREP a new acronym that's come into being since I left in '01?

Or is it just somthing that sounds cool for non-military types to say when they are trying to play Army?

Additionally, was the checkpoint expected to move from the place they set up?
Were they not making commo checks all night on the hour?

I guess a SITREP with a green 2 is probably just too boring...Not nearly as sexy as a "POSREP"
