I'm about 50 pages in to this book right now and all I can say is "Wow!"

Anyone else read this book?

No, haven't heard of it........and you've given me nothing to make it worth even looking up what it's about.

I've read it. You're right, the author has an impressive and amazing gift to describe the world back then. Good read and I don't usually like mysteries in general or the serial killer-genre in particular.
