Just wanted to share that I just finished Gen. Tommy Franks' book and highly recommend it.  I thought it gave some great background to both the Afghanistan and Iraqi operations and great insights to all the political brew-ha-ha going on.  For example, he takes responsibility for the heat Pres. Bush is taking for the carrier landing.  General Franks had requested that the President do something for the troops since Britain was planning on having a parade for its troops.  The President gladly did so but seems to be paying a high political price for doing something for the troops.

Great book and worth the money!
