I got a front end alignment on my truck last week and from the moment I left it was pulling to the left. I figured that since the tires were used, (I also had a set of wheels with mounted tires that came off another 2500hd. decided I would use those instead of buying new ones) they would probably have some pull to them.
So my question is, if I rotate the tires, and the pull doesn't go away, is it not aligned right? I do have the printout from the machine for all 4 tires and they are all in spec, unless the machine is off??? |

The specs for alignment are very forgiving I can induce a pull to the right, left, or awful tire wear with no pull at all and still keep all the numbers "green" . You need to have it aligned by the symptom (pulling left) meaning they need to reduce the caster split, and not just by the numbers. (it's green good to go) ETA: you can have a tire pull no matter how the tires look. The best way to sort out a tire pull is to swap the fronts left to right and see if the pull reverses. |

I do alignments all day long. Either take it back and tell them it pulls or rotate front tires side to side and see if pull changes.
If it does after rotation. rotate tires from rear into the front one at a time until pull stops. If rotating front tires doesnt make a difference take it back to them. Maybe they were sloppy doing the alignment, made a mistake, or you have a worn out component (ball joint, wheel bearing, bushing, etc... |

After that its worn components, dragging calipers, etc. |
