Look up the Buckner Building in Whittier, Alaska. I'd like to check it out someday.

Where is there an "abandoned mental hospital" in Arizona? OP is full of shit. |

I live just a few miles from Northern State mental hospital. We used to drive up there back in the 80's and snoop around at night. The place scared the crap out of us, and it is rumored to be haunted. I never saw anything....but others claimed they did.

I post in GD-- same thing. View Quote lol we had the old "sisters of saint mary mercy hospital" here locally, with an insane/mentally fucked up/whatever wing on the second floor west side. Had some padded walls and shit, with no padding left. It had been abandoned for better than 20 years. it was creepy as fuck. they finally tore it down last year. Local investors had bought the property for dirt cheap, like 200k. 5 floors, two elevators. But the asbestos abatement would have been over a mil, so nobody would buy it. sucks to be them |

There was a mental hospital for kids my friends and I explored when we were in high school. We knew it was for kids because every room and all over the complex there were kids decorations and toys, all ruined and trashed though. Looked like the place was just shut down and everything left behind.
Place was pretty freaky, it was surrounded by large 15' barbed wire fence, certain walkways through the complex were fenced and covered, with gates at the intersections. There was a concrete building in the complex with no windows, when we went in, the exterior walls were all small 4-5' x 8' padded rooms with a large black dome on the ceilings. We found a room with the dome busted and found out they were cameras. The center of this building was set up as some sort of interrogation room. One side had a table and some chairs and the other had a some chairs and some empty shelves, the mirror glass between the rooms was shattered but still on the floor. The largest building in the complex was the kitchen/auditorium. All the kitchen ovens, mixers, and other old cooking stuff I know nothing about was all still there. The auditorium had all the chairs stacked against the walls and a grand piano sitting on the stage, it was badly out of tune. There was all sorts of kids drawing, stuffed animals and trash spread across the floor and stage. In the back of the complex was some portables that were completely trashed, one had a tree fall through it and split it open and the other looked like someone was living in it before. We started walking to some other building in the back corner of the complex when we noticed a dog following us that looked like a pit. We were already freaked out and it was between us and the way back we came (the place was a maze with all the fences and gates, some still locked and others overgrown with vines). No one knew what to do so I threw a rock at the dog and it landed a few feet in front of it and it took off. We got out of there as quickly as possible. That place was freaky as hell but it was a lot of fun ETA: this was around Seffner, FL |

I've went into this place before it was torn down in 2006. It was pretty creepy.

There is a huge abandoned psychiatric hospital about an hour from me called Marlboro.
When i was growing up you always heard "that person belong in Marlboro" or something to that effect. Never knew what it meant as a kid, just as it signified a scary nuthouse. Just heard the other day it is now stated to be demolished starting any day. Lots of cool old shit in there gonna get scrapped and destroyed unfortunately. http://abnf.co/NJ-marlboro_psychiatric_hospital.htm |

The bad karma from the abuses of the sick that occured in these places...
Lingers around for a while. Unfortunately they turned these mentally disturbed folk loose and many are now in jails or living on the streets. |

Me and my friends used to when we were in highschool. We have a lot of abandoned buildings, factories, and one hospital around my area. The old cement plant along the river is the best though. That place is huge.

There's a bunch of them around here. I've been to one in Dutchess county. Creepy, but no ghosts.

Supposedly the most haunted place on the earth. We played there all the time as kids. Never really saw anything out of the ordinary. They now give tours and you can even stay overnight if you want. We can put an ARFCOM paranormal team together for an overnight. |

I was becoming sickened and left for the cars to wait. |
