[ARCHIVED THREAD] - a question about using linkedin

For you linkedin gurus out there.

I just signed up

When I did so, it asked me to enter my email address and filled in a list of contacts that were already on linkedin. They were small boxes showing the persons' profiles, names, etc.

I skipped that step because I didn't have time to scroll through everybody and decide who to connect with.

Now I want to do so...so I go back and enter in my email address and p/w, and it pulls up a list of ALL 865 email addresses in my address book.

I DO NOT WANT TO SCROLL THROUGH ALL 865!

Can I not do a search of people to "add" that shows me ONLY my contacts already on LinkedIn?

I haven't tried that function yet even though I've been on linkedin for a few years.
I have just been doing individual adds as I think about them.

Will it not automatically link to only linked in members?

Not that I can find out....which is annoying as hell.

At least when you do "find contacts" on Facebook it only pulls up the contacts that HAVE Facebook.

Linkedin doesn't seem very user-intuitive to me so far. .....
