Ernest "Rocco/Rocky" Infelise, former consigliere/lieutenant/crime boss (depending on who tells the story) of the Chicago-area mafia ("The Outfit").

He killed Anthony Spilotro (Joe Pesci's character in "Casino") among many.

Gettin' a heart bypass at Government expense.

I guess it's a good deal for him. No deductible, copay, etc.

He didn't offer to take her on a "short ride to the harbor", I hope?

No, he was actually very polite she said. Very abrupt, but polite. He's 79, but looks much younger. Told her he only has another 60 years to go on his sentence.

I'm not too worried.

Is he serving his sentence in OK or just having his medical stuff done there?

He has a reputation of pulling on women breasts.

Both. His sentence is being served at the Federal Correctional Facility in El Reno, Oklahoma. They often bring inmates requiring medical attention to the hospital where my wife works. It's usually been no-name bank robbers, tax cheats, etc.

He's not in much of a position to pull even on his "Little Rocky" if you know what I mean. The correctional officers have him chained, shackled, handcuffed, etc. He's supervised one-on-one 24/7 while he's outside of the prison.

My wife took care of Dick Chaney when he had a heart attack. Not quite as exciting as a mobster though. And speaking of a habit of pulling on weemanz breasts, Strom Thurmond takes the cake. I've taken care of him about a million times and none of the female nurses at the ER I worked in would take care of him. He would even go so far as to lure them close with candy, and then grope them.

I reckon that's better than cement boots.

I don't think he's in much danger of that either. Part of the reason he's under such tight security is his not cooperating with the government. In exchange for information, they've typically moved these guys to more open prisons and let them have a little more freedom.

Why are my tax dollars going to health care for a man who will die in prison anyway?

That's what I'm wondering. That's been a major rub with the hospital staff where my wife works. The joke has been that when they start having health problems, they should commit a Federal crime in order to get medical care. Pretty shitty.
