What are the rack grade and service grade CMP Garands looking like these days.
I got mine years ago for $275 without wood. Bought the stock locally and cleaned it up nicely
Here's mine:

Here's my H&R, International Harvester, and the Danish Winchester with a brand new var barrel. I'm waiting for a Springfield to show up this week, my credit card was hit on thursday so it should be soon.

You need at least 3 so you can stack arms.  [banana]

sorry about the crappy pic. This is my Springfield DCM Garand. Cost $300 shipped to my door. Shoots like a dream. VERY early serial # and almost all the parts match. I bought a (signed) copy of Scott Duffs book and it gave me all the info on when/where/how etc. This rifle is a history lesson....
EDITED TO ADD: Yes, I know the sling is on backwards. Its since been corrected [:)]

I'll post a pic after my camera batteries charge. Mine has a SN of 263xx. I was wondering how many of you have a lower SN than this?

See if this works:

April 1943 Winchester with VAR barrel.  Milled SA trigger group, Win bolt, SA op rod, PB gas cylinder/front sight/gas plug.  Park looks brand new on everything, except the bolt.

Shoots great, but need to work up a good load for her.  She earned me the rank of Marksman in NRA Highpower Rifle.

She now has a new Boyd's stock, because the one she had was beat to hell, no distinguishing marks and mismatched handguards.

Didn't get her direct from the CMP, but scored in a trade with someone who did.

Here's my other M1, wearing the stock that I put on the above rifle:
