Only bad things about that game are that now Nebraska will get to go to the Rose Bowl and they sure as hell do NOT deserve to. Plus, their running game scares me much more than Tennessee's did.

I hear your points...and agree to some extent. I'm not worried, the Canes will do just fine. Plus, it's not definate that Nebraskas the one. Just take this opportunity to enjoy what L.S.U. just did to Tenn. I know if anyones been around for Garandmans babbling, you have. Come on, just admit it once and I wont bring it up again, didn't you LOVE seeing L.S.U. beat those guys? I know you did! |

Hehe, what was most fun was watching the UT fans in the stands with their beer bellies and boufont hairdos sitting there in pastel orange and pouting while LSU scored the final TD...

As an ALABAMA fan I was on the sidelines but it's been a long while since I've seen a team WANT to win like LSU did.

NO QUESTION Tennessee choked. They looked and played Terrible. I've seen too much by Tennessee this year to think they were a national championship caliber team.
By my point was that NEITHER is Miami. As far as these Big East teams in the national championship game, I have two words for you..... Virginia Tech 'nuff said. |

Mark, none of the statements you've made have any accuracy or relevance. Miami has played just as many big games as Nebraska, and more this year: Nebraska played two good teams this year and lost to one of them.
Virginia Tech's loss was FOUR YEARS AGO, to perhaps the best FSU team to ever take the field. And no, that VT team was not even close to being as talented as this Miami team. So, in sum, you seem to know as little about college football as you do about paleontology and history. |

Yes, quite obviously you are incapable of understanding that where a team stood FOUR YEARS AGO has no bearing on where they stand currently.
FSU was the best team in the nation FOUR YEARS AGO...today, they are barely ranked. Kansas State was a national title contender FOUR YEARS AGO...today, they are unranked. Miami was horrible, stuck with little talent due to probationary restrictions, FOUR YEARS AGO. So no, Mark, despite your little fantasy, what a team was four years ago has little or no bearing on where they are today. |

The POINT Rik, is that the Big East conference as a whole is a JOKE.
Its as much of a joke today as it was four years ago. The best team in the conference from four years ago got crushed. The best team in the conference this year will get CRUSHED. THAT is the point. A point that you are not incapable, just unwilling, to see. |

Tell ya what - Go find some unbiased quotes from the sports talking heads that rank teh Bigeast anywhere in teh Top 5 conferences in the country. The ONLY reason the Big East would even make the Top 20 conferences in the country is becasue of the existence of Miami. And THEN only because of Miamis sometimes merciless pummelling (other time BARELY defeatingg) of the other Big East patsies. The SEC is such a strong conference, they had to make TWO conferences out of it. And theres better conferences out there this year than the SEC. Like I say, Jan. 4 will tell the tale.
