May have to upgrade to this class....can I get it in home?? A business line is substantially more money ($$$$) because you have many more users (employees usually) that feed off the available bandwidth. I do not believe they run it to residential places either. The other guy was using VZ FIOS which isn't too widespread yet. Better than years ago but if you don't live in a large city you probably won't get it. |

My network always sucked until I bought an Apple Airport Extreme and two Airport Express units. Now my entire 4,000 Sq ft house is covered with a bangin' signal and the network never needs resetting.
I have 2 apple TV boxes and over the holidays had at least 13-15 users at one time with no issues. |

I've got Time Warner Business Class at my house. $135/month for 10/2 but I have in the past transferred 1.5TB in a single month. I'd hate to see what Comcast would do to a residential customer with that. |

Get hughesnet. I'd go back to dial-up before hughesnet at least there unlimited is onlylimited by speed. Currently I have a datacard with an unlimited plan but the speeds sucks and they throttle after 10gb a month. I cleared that on day 3 of the billing cycle |

What servers can you download something that fast from? |

Well thanks to you I have now bought an Apple Airport Extreme, how necessary were the two Airport Express Units? |

I'm also out in the sticks. I don't think I can get it but I haven't even looked. I should take back the above statement as I know of a few people that have a business line in a residential area. So I know it is possible. Oh well, I won't bother editing that. |

Well thanks to you I have now bought an Apple Airport Extreme, how necessary were the two Airport Express Units? Depends on how big your house is. I put the the Extreme in my office in the middle of the house and an Express on each side of the house in the attic. I have 5 bars throughout my entire place. You'll love the setup. If you have an iPhone or iPad download the free Airport Utility from the App Store. You simply plug everything in and it works, no software, it's really easy. I would start with the Extreme and see how it works, if you need more coverage just add an Express. |

An xbox and tablet are going to take almost none of that. |

1 Laptop on, 7:34am on a Saturday, Apartment complex and according to the internet guy, I am very close to where the fiber optic cables begin location-wise.... The joys of living in the middle of no where and getting charged $50 a month for this garbage. [EDIT] Another test a second ago out of curiosity. No change in application usage: http://www.speedtest.net/result/2415494257.png |

They can be installed anywhere you can get Comcast cable modem service, but you must use the modem/gateway provided. You can get static IPs with Business Class for an extra charge. |

It was great fun when I finally had an alternative and got to tell the DSL folks to go away. Yes, that was some slow stuff. |

and you are still slower than 52% of Qatar................ |
